THE ART OF TAI CHI BLOG
Ideas For Healing
The other day, I was told by someone who I just met that I was rounded. I had a round energy about me. There is certain roundness about me, she explained.
If you just go through the motions without feeling your hands, then Tai Chi would not be beneficial to you. It’s more important to learn to feel than it is to learn where your hands go. And to do that, you must learn to let go.
The human experience is processed by three components – the mind, heart and body. We observe with the mind. We feel with the heart. We live in the world through the body. These three components work together to make you an individual – one with the universe.
Taoists observed that we are a part of a larger universe where we can learn from it to live a better, longer and fulfilling life. When we are in, under or around water, we are in a relaxed state. We feel connected to the universe. Our thoughts change, they lead us to happiness.
When you lose focus, you start to question your purpose. You may feel hopeless and even trapped. Well, I am here to show you where you can find your path through life. I am going to put you in touch with who you are, the individual you, the only YOU that matters. And the great thing is you don’t have to look far. On this journey, we are going to look into the solar plexus.
When you focus on the area called the dan tien, you improve your balance. Balance is the key to a healthy and complete life. If you do not improve your balance, you increase your chances of having a fall. You have to be careful because you lose balance as you age or each time you catch a disease. And if you think this only happens to older people, then I would advise you to start preparing for fall prevention NOW.
Today, I am going to give you the inside scoop on breathing deeply. It’s important because you breathe in air and air is considered to be one of the primary sources of energy. Your energy is depleted through daily living…
The activities you perform each day restrict the amount of air you breathe.
Tai Chi is done slowly so that we can develop mind and body coordination. Mind and body coordination is important to have if we want to perform efficiently. This coordination ensures that we waste no energy. Therefore, when we do things slowly we are able to maintain our energy levels throughout the course of the day.
